<br /> <br />Page 4 of 9 <br />Ms. Haas-Foletta stated that 70 would be a cap because of square <br />footage. <br /> <br />Commissioner White asked if they are concerned over the parking <br />design and situation at this location. <br /> <br />Ms. Haas-Foletta stated that parking is always a concern, but this is not <br />like a school that has a firm start and end time. She stated they believe <br />they have sufficient parking. She stated they have staff that use public <br />transportation, which eliminates some of the burden. She stated they <br />expect this to be a sufficient amount. <br /> <br />Mr. Bielak stated they have discussed having a backup plan if they find <br />they do not have adequate parking available. <br /> <br />Commissioner White expressed concern for the competition for parking. <br />He suggested they have some sort of monitoring in place. <br /> <br />Commissioner Schmidt asked Staff how the new project that Kaiser is <br />working on, that includes a new parking lot, might alleviate some of <br />these concerns. <br /> <br />Planning Manager Turner stated Kaiser has submitted an application for <br />a project that would include an underground garage. <br /> <br />Principal Planner O’Dell stated it is on the corner of Marshall and Maple. <br /> <br />Planning Manager Turner stated that once that is built, it would provide <br />adequate spaces to suit the need. <br /> <br />Chair Radcliffe asked about the parcel of land that Kaiser owns. <br /> <br />Planning Manager Turner stated that it would be leased out. <br /> <br />M/S (Hale/Bondonno) to open the public hearing <br /> <br />Leora Tanjuatco, Organizing Director, Housing Leadership Council of <br />San Mateo County, expressed her organization’s support for the project. <br /> <br />Nina Rizzo, GreenTRIP Planner, Transform, passed out a letter about <br />how this project is GreenTRIP certified. She explained what GreenTRIP <br />certification means. She stated that one of their goals is to see more <br />homes for people than homes for cars. She stated they are supportive <br />of this project. <br /> <br />Lucy Tang, Intern at Greenbelt Alliance, spoke in support of this project. <br />She stated they are excited that this project is 100% affordable.
