11 work on the master plan. Professor Williamson told Mr. Whitmore a group would not be available to work with the Commission until January of 1966. Commissioner Whitmore commented that he thinks this ,would be a good idea. He explained that these students would come in to make an over- all survey of Redwood City. Red Morton stated that the Coun- ty wants a master plan showing every city's plans. Commiss- ioner Knecht recommended that Commissioner Whitmore take this material to City Manager and tell him how the Commdssion feels, that something should be done, and report back. REPORT ON THE EXPANSION OF THE 4ger BUILDING. Commissioner Beals stated the plans are about ready to start building the building, that it will probably be another mon- th before the actual construction starts. DISCUSSION OF REPORT ON FUTURE LAND ACQUISITION. A report was given on this subject by Commissioner Whitmore which was written by Commissioners Thompson and Stuart. Comm- issioner Whitmore thanked both of these.Commissioners for do- ing an excellent job in making this report up. Commissioner Knecht suggested sending a copy of this report to the Council- men. Motion made by Commissioner Beals that the report be approved by the Commission and forwarded to the proper auth- orities, seconded by Commissioner Tornell, and carried. POLL THOSE DESIRING TO ATTEND THE RECREATION CONFERENCE MARCH 21-24 Discussion held on which day would be best to attend. Tues- day, March 23 was chosen for everyone to go, if possible. Commissioner Beals requested that Assistant Park Superintend- ent- put item regarding fencing at Stulsaft Park in the Park Budget for 1965-66. Mr. Morton reported on two candidates for replacing Maurice Schutz: Ann Gooding and Walter Beering.
