No cooperation from <br />citizens on bond issues and no cooperation from Public <br />Works Dept. who does park work. No developed parks. , <br /> <br />j) Half Moon Bay: Undeveloped property held by few large <br />land owners who are not interested in parks; Odd Fellows <br />Lodge recently donated 3 lots in City for a par,k. L. C. <br />Smith, land developer, donated 7~ acres for Little League <br />fields: City has presented plans for commercial type de- <br />velopment of a "Santa Cruz" type recreation setup. <br /> <br />k) Burlingame: 2 distinct Commissions - 1 for parks and <br />1 for Recreation. Trying to combine into one. Bond issue <br />defeated 7 years ago to purchase l4~ acres of bay front <br />property for $65,000 City now has price for 5 of same acres <br />for $200,000. City has hired consultant to make comprehen- <br />sive survey for park and recreation needs now and for fu- <br />ture. Burlingame is working towards a waterfront park. <br /> <br />Commissioner Knecht expressed concern on possibility of play- <br />ground equipment requests not being approved.
