<br />wood City: that she would contact them and the League
<br />of California Cities for information.

<br />#7 - FIESTA REPORT - Pasco Balzarini:
<br />
<br />Mr. Balzarini reported that his department had entered
<br />in 9 categories and won in all with a total of $865.00
<br />received in prizes in addition to a Special Award placque
<br />for IIOutstanding Landscaping in Horticulturell. Commiss-
<br />ioner Stuart moved that a letter be written to City Man-
<br />ager Neal commending Park Supt. Balzarini and his depart-
<br />ment for their fine efforts. Seconded and passed.

<br />#8 - CHESTNUT PARK REPORT - Alyn Beals:
<br />
<br />Concerning letter to Chairman Beals from City Manager
<br />Nealon Commission's request to sell Chestnut Street
<br />Park property and purchase property owned by Dol1ina
<br />Rayer on Elm Street near, Hilton Street, following act-
<br />ion at the May 5, 1965, Commission meeting. Mr. Morton
<br />stated that Mr. Mee had contacted him this morning con-
<br />cerning the property. Mr. Mee stated that appraisals
<br />would have to be secured on both properties and that a
<br />report should be made to the Council at its meeting on
<br />Sept. 13th.

<br />#9 - FARM HILLS AND FRIENDLY ACRES - Jim Knecht: Chairman
<br />Beals co~gratulated Mr. Knecht on his assistance to the
<br />Commission request for new playground equipment at the
<br />two sites. Mr. Knecht suggested that Commission con-
<br />sider two more playground equipment programs for next
<br />year - Maddux and Mezes. Secretary Thompson was asked
<br />to write the City Manager and Council and thank them
<br />for approving the Farm Hills and Friendly Acres projects.

<br />#10 - BAIRD PROPERTY REPORT - Alfred Morton:

<br />Mr. Morton said that a trip had been made to the Mt.
<br />View Recreation Center on Wednesday, Aug. 11th, by the
<br />following: Mr. Morton, Pasco Balzarini, Councilman Sid
<br />Herkner, Architect Bernard Nobler, Commissioner Thompson,
<br />Bill Paulson, Bill Wooten and Sally Hartman.
<br />
<br />Commissioner Stuart stated that he and his committee
<br />consisting of James Knecht and Doris Thompson had vis-
<br />ited the Menlo Park Recreation Building. Commissioner
<br />Thompson reported on both field trips and presented
<br />pictures from both centers for study by other Commiss-
<br />ioners. Commissioner Stuart said that'he felt cost of
