PARK AND RECREATION FACILITIES-AND <br />FUTURE LAND ACQUISITION - report by Alyn Beals and Commi ".ioners; <br />.. ..~ <br />Chairman Beals noted that final reports from all Citizéhs' Comm~ <br />ittees were not available as requested for tonights,;meeting - <br />only the Redwood Shores and B~ilding and Pools CortUwittees having <br /> <br />..i.. <br /> <br />submi tted recommendations. '. <br /> <br />After discussion, the Commission requested as follows: That <br />Mr. Morton ask all Committee Chairmen to have final reports by <br />May 18th; that Chairman Beals and Mr. Morton contact City Manager <br />Ullrich re extension of Winans. contract to allow his preliminary <br />report on July 15th and final report on August 15th in the event <br />the reports were not complete by the 18th and additional time <br />needed: that each Commissioner be furnished with all copies of <br />minutes and reports by each Citizens' Committee as they come in; <br /> <br />, . <br /> <br />that Commi,ssion -act on final reports before forwarding to Mr. <br />Winans; and by mutual consent of the Commission that a SPECIAL <br />MEETING. be held on May 18th at 7:30 p.m. in the Little Theatre <br />at Veterans Memorial Building fo~ action on Master Plan ,reports <br />and Baird Property plans. ~ <br /> <br />COMMENTS FROM PARK & RECREATION COMMISSIONERS, PARK SUPT. AND RECRE- <br />ATION DIRECTOR, pertaining to old or new business: <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER GOODING will defer conference meeting report to June 1st <br />meeting. <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER THOMPSON - Mrs. Thompson asked that the Rose Garden go <br />back on the Agenda for the July rne~ting and asked that Mr. Balz- <br />arini confirm site .for Rose Garden and provide estimate of costs. <br />The Secretary was asked to write City Manager Ullrich for a re- <br />port on any information pertaining to the Rose Garden and ask <br />that the Park Dept. be requested to present plans and cost est- <br />imates for the project by the July 6th meeting.
