Shores) suggested that <br />if the goals as advocated in the Winans Report and the P & R <br />element to the General Plan were to be reached rapidly that a <br />bond issue would be necessary and he would recommend one. <br /> <br />Chairman Beals said this is the feeling of the Commission and <br />he would suggest that we get the parks and Recreation Element <br />to the General Plan to the Council with our approval'and begin <br />to think ahead towards a bond issue with the help of the Biti- <br />zens Committee by establishing a list of priorities, determing <br />costs involved and promoting a bond issue. <br /> <br />Mrs. Thompson said that all are mutually 'concerned about park <br />lands acquisition and must look ahead and proceed rapidly as <br />open land is becoming increasingly hard to find.
