' <br /> <br />Discussion included: 'questioning the use of several heavily tra- <br />velled thoroughfares in City: citing from Park & Recreation minutes <br />of 2-1-67 and to motion pertaining to proposed by former Commiss- <br />ioner Jasper Sipes, via map, to institute bicycle routes in City <br />which would basically avoid most main through traffic streets and <br />yet connect all major parks and schools. It was suggested that if <br />these plans could be located that they would complement the plans <br />as described by Mr. Ullrich. <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />On MOTION of Jim Knecht, ~seconded by Doris Thompson, it was voted <br />to concur in the approval by Council the lib road " bicycle route <br />plan as presented by the' City Manager and which would connect with <br />Menlo Park and San Carlos. Passed. <br /> <br />~ , <br /> <br />ROUNDTABALE: Co~iss~~~~~~~~~~son said this was last meeting that <br />Lee Massman would take stenographic notes for Commission minutes <br />and complimented Mrs. Massman for her faithful past performance" <br />to her as secretary (22 mos.) (Mrs. Massman's increased duties as <br />secretary of the Bldg. Dept. plus personal commitments made it <br />;impossible for her to continue withus.)¡ Mrs. Thompson recommend- <br />ed that Rose Garden Dedication Ceremonies be deferred until I1first <br />bloom II - end of April or early May; urged that additional restroom <br />be installed at Stulsaft park: presented brochure which included <br />colored photographs of park in Whittier, Calif., which included a <br />uChildrens' Zoo..
