~~j'IO~_r~~~.~K§~ - Request for agenda item by Commissioner Stuart.
Mr. Stuart stated that he felt that Commission, should be made aware
of a facility's use not being to capacity over a period of ti.me,i.e.
Community Pool going down, and suggested that use of the pool for'
swim classes, inter-elementary school meets, etc. might improve
the situation. Commissioner~ Stuart also suggested that it might
be a good idea to :take a look at everything across the board in
light of increasing costs of operation-equipment costs, yacht
rentals, etc. ~

..

Recreation staff advised that cards will be sent to children re
beginners, and on up, re swim instruction: that there has been
general swim and instruction at pool but there had been conflicts
of timing; that some classes that were not used last year would.
be eliminated and times will be changed so that classes are filled
up so that employment costs can be reducedJ that the whole sched-
ule.will be programed to more lnstructlon ln the same day to get
more people involved and more revenue; that schools had used Comm-
inued, but it was expected that next fall two schools would be
using it7 that summer recreation equipment for p1aygrounds costs
invo¡ve only replacement of articles which are broken, school
