Commissioners Whitmore. and Knecht indicated willingness to serve on the Budget Committee. " RECREATION DEPARTMENT - Mr. Paulson said August report would be in mail next week. - -, Commissioner Thompson expressed disappointment on information contained in July report that only 43 of list of 96 names presented had taken advantage of free swimming le~sons provided by R.C. Kiwanis, but encouraged that 350-500 youngsters had taken advantage of free swims at Community Park on Wednesdays. Mr. Paulson said R.C. Kiwanis had paid only for the 43 youngsters who had showed up for the lessons. Mr. Paulson also said the department was disappointed over the response of youngsters from the east side of town t~ take advantage of the Sunrise Lions Club sUbsidized bus fare program to Day Camp. 9 - iQIN1.n!1E~_T_+!i~ Ac.O~CI"~l ~P~NliI~llG~ CO~.9§1.~N - Chairman Stuart: Chairman Stuart said two dates were under consideration - Wed- nesday night, Oct. 23rd, and Wed. night, Nov. 13th. . Mr. Stuart was authorized to arrange for one of these d~tes and advise. He said agenda would probably be set up for items appropriate to parks and recreation.
