Q~e. n~d -~ ~ i<~ n :. 1 RIBERA & SUE - Revised Park plan - Shores (DOLPHIN MINI PARK: DOLPHIN IIAII) Mr. Alan Ribera - noted revision of plans for Dolphin Mîni Park as extra lot had not been secured; that play apparatus area had been shifted; suggested that when sUbdivision extends to south towards Brad property that more park land be acquired to relate to more open-space; that they are suggesting nauti- , - ca1 theme for equipment, concrete instead of asphalt for walk- ways as asphalt will deteriorate without heavy use; pathway . would connect to Neighborhood ParK #1 being constructed by D1~ID1. - lvIr. - Ribera showed design for th3 3/4 acre IIpark", Dolphin IIA", being 1 of two such adjoined areas being planned for -- Bridge Parkway, this first one being near Lanyard Dr. and Quay Ln.; told that people can walk under bridge without crossing parkway: that soil under bridge will probably no~ sustain ground cover and should be paved; cost would probably run about- $33,000 p1uzr $10,740 additional costs due to sUb"; surface drainage. ~I. Ribera advised that bids had come-în too high - $11 per line ft.-for- fencing behind parkway l~ndscaping and that tney would be going to Council on Monday-for approval for a different type installation of the kemmite treated redwood fencing, which although it would look like the previous planned fence, would permit installation at perhaps $6 to $8 per lin. ft.: redwood materials would not be stained but allowed to weather. ..~ r~. Ribera described types of street tree plantings for sub- divisions I and 2 such as California peppers, eucalyptus, - - New Zealand' Xmas trees, canary island palm, aleppo pine, ~~nterey cypress, carob, pistache, etc. and showed master tree planting plan. ~ 1~. Ullrich said Bridge parkway bridge span would be high-- enough to permit sailboats to go under; that bridge estimated cost is approx. $1,200,000; that he had been advised that Belmont School District was expected to sign a contract for property for the first school before the end of the month- school site is adjacent to ~~rlin park site.
