Mr. Ullrich was unable to be at,tonights <br />meeting. <br />a. Schematic Plans - Ribera & Sue: Mr. Sue re-presented the <br />schematic plans for Community Park and noted that following - <br />last months Commission meeting it was a general concensus of <br />opinion that the creek should be,closed and that a se1f-con- <br />taine9 pond and lagoon system of approx. 1/3 acre be included <br />in the plans; showed how National Guard land can be used on a <br />short or long range basis1 etc. <br /> <br />. ..- <br /> <br />CQmmission discussion included that Community Park should be <br />culverted¡ that an additional 5 acres of usuable land would be <br />gained by closing the creek¡that the pond..1agoon aspect was <br />most inviting, that a concerted attempt should be made to re.. <br />locate the Armory facilities elsewhere. <br />b. Commission recommendation for creek treatment: <br /> <br />Commissioner Coffis, moved to recommend to Council that the <br />Master Plan for Community Park as prepared by Ribera & Sue and <br />described as IIScheme As-with culvert and pond, as revisedll be <br />approved for adoption, seconded by Commissioner Stuart, and <br />passed unanimously. Mr. stuart was asked to represent Comm- <br />ission at Council presentation. <br /> <br />Commissioner Thompson moved to recommend to Council that a <br />concerted effort be made to re-locate the National Guard activ- <br />ity somewhere else in the City, seconded by commissioner Stuart, <br />and passed unanimously.
