Jenks <br />and Adamson had been issued a task order to prepare plans and speci~ <br />fications for boxing of Community Park creek; that down-stream work <br />is on way to completion and as soon as presently being constructed <br />storm drain projects are out of the way, he will ask that a time <br />table be worked out re the creelc¡. plans will go to Council for approval <br />and it is hoped that determination can be made so project can go to <br />bid at first construction weather in the spring; last report of 1-65 <br />funds show there would be sufficient monies to do the cre~k plus <br />approx. $60, 000 remaining .to do supplemental drainage work around <br />city¡that bond monies could not be used for such things as landscap- <br />ing/contouring, etc. in connection with the covering of the creek¡ <br />will advise Commission on status of remaining storm drain funds. <br />b. IV~_;:~ 1~~e~n~qeL --- ~1I~qn.E!e~9w~q~t.~.E.9:L'~ .~~~J~~\!Sth~ !Laf~: Mr. Ullrich said <br />that their research shows that Vera Avenue between Dickey and <br />Sapphire Streets was dedicated for public use by a record map some <br />years ago and as far as can be determined there are no reconveyance <br />restrictions on it¡ that public use would include a park, or park <br />use, as opposed to street use, and that it is his opinion, subject <br />to approval of the City Attorney, that by the lack of any reversionary <br />clauses the property is available for park uses as opposed to street. <br />c. Chairman Whitmore said <br />the total master plan concept for Co~~unity Park envisions the squar- <br />ing off of adjacent areas and information should be in our files <br />regarding cost. Mr. Ullrich will provide estimate of costs for the <br />above. <br />e. M~T:C~eLq~r~l~r_~:II)~t ~,n_~rner?_l~~,,~~ke: Mr. Ullrich said he had no <br />response to his letters to the attorney representing the estate: <br />that there is a great possibility that with reference to sewer <br />requirements, etc. for the Emerald Lake Area that the '-cost" of <br />the lot for such assessments would be way out of line; said that <br />when ,a letter was received from the attorney for the estate that <br />a good hard look would be made as to the city wanting it. <br /> <br />
