161 Mr. MacDonald informed, the commission that there are 15,000 registered . mini bikes in the area and probably a similar figure of unregistered bikes. He felt such a park would allow for supervision of all age groups and cut the accidents which now occur by bike ridèrs on our city streets. ~ A motion made by Commissioner Schenck that Chairman Thompson appoint a committee to work with Officer MacDonald and staff in obtaining information from other city parks and report to Commission at March meeting, seconded by Commissioner Knecht and carried. ~Commissioners Haynes and Welsh being noted absent. She then proceeded to read each section and discussion folrowed. Several suggestions were made and these suggestions will be given to Mr. Westphal, Zoning Director and Mr. Maloney of the City Attorney's Office. Mrs. Terrill hoped that Mr. Westphal and Mr. Maloney will agree to the suggestions and a final draft ~e approved at the March meeting. She then designated Commissioners Welsh and Guida as delegates. She further stated that Commissioner ~ Guida was. W1able to attend the Conference last year and even though he "is not one' of our newest Commissioners, she felt he should be given the opportunity to attend this year. Amendment Re Area A - Lagoon commissioner Schenck reported that Phase I, Plan A, from the Master Plan had been overlooked in preparing the Proposed Budget submitted to the City Manager. He then moved that we amend our priority list to include Area A- Lagoon designated on the Master Plan as Phase I, Priority I on the 1975-76 Priority List, seconded by Mr. Guida and carried. It was noted that Commissioners Haynes and Welsh were absent. commdssioner Guida inquired if the Commission could expect a copy or report on the revised budget as accepted by the administration. It was hoped by all commissioners present that such a report would be available in the near future.
