CPRS District IV Meeting, January 22 <br />Chairman Thompson expr~ssed the fee~ings of the Commission in <br />congratulating Commissioner Guida o~ being named Outstanding Citizen <br />in Redwood City for his work with youth ,over many years. <br /> <br />She also was pleased on th~ award presented the Sunrise Lions Club <br />for their work in the community. <br /> <br />r- l' <br /> <br />10. Nominating Committee <br />Chairman Thompson appointed Commissioner Terrill as chairman and <br />commissioner Haynes and Commissioner Welsh to select a slate of <br />officers. <br /> <br />~airœn ~o~son stated that ~e had~itten a letter to~. Fales <br />informing him that her term was about to end and that she applauded <br />the Council1s policy of only two full term appointments to the <br />commission. She further stated that she will miss the association <br />and. dedication of so many fine people, but is looking forward to <br />"retirement II . <br /> <br />11. Re Commission Reports <br /> <br />... - <br /> <br /> <br />Chairman Thompson suggested that in the future all reports be in <br />writing. <br /> <br />Chairmen must call meetings of committees and a convenient date chosen <br />for at least 2/3 of members to be present. Maddux Park Proposal <br /> <br /> <br />- - <br /> <br />After much discussion concerning the type of park and ages <br />of children enjoying the park, the hazards such a change <br />could bring, a motion was made by Commissioner Guida to <br />table the proposal, seconded by Commissioner Knecht and <br />carried. Commissioners Haynes and Welsh being noted absent. <br /> <br /> <br />13. Recreation Department <br />a.
