City of Redwood City

EXHIBIT "A"
SCOPE OF WORK

Scope
Blomquist Street Extension

2.07 Prepare deed description and plat for ROW dedication. AP A will prepare plats and legal
descriptions for ROW dedications, and easements for the proposed Blomquist Street extension.

2.08 Roadway alignment. Manna will prepare the Blomquist Road extension's horizontal and
vertical alignments. The vertical alignment will be determined by the hydraulic reports, easement
requirements, and other design issues in the project.

2.09 Roadway typical cross sections. :Manna will prepare roadway cross sections based on the
geotechnical reports and final roadway grade elevations.

2.10 Roadway construction details. Manna will prepare plans showing roadway details and
dimensions.

2.11 Roadway drainage plans and profiles.
based on WRECO's drainage reports.

Manna will prepare drainage plans and profiles

2.12 Roadway drainage details and quantities. Manna will prepare plans showing drainage
details and estimate the quantities for roadway and drainage works.

2.13 Pump Station. Manna will prepare a bridge drainage report for the pump station. The
general layout and operation of the pump station will be configured similar to the existing facility.
'This report -will address issues relating to the mechanical, structural and electrical disciplines
affecting any decision to relocate and/or upgrade the pump station.

2.14 Box Culvert. Manna -will prepare a drainage report for a new box culvert at the junction of
Maple and Blomquist. This design -will consider the effects of constructing a new box culvert on
the hydraulics of the creek along Maple Street, and on the existing bridge access to the police
station. This work will interface issues related to the structural design of the pump station, and its
relocation.

2.15 Utility Plans. AP A -will survey existing utilities at both ends of the project and along the
alignment. Alignment of the proposed extension will be based on the findings obtained from this
analysis. AP A -will prepare plans of existing utilities.

2.16 HEC-RAS modeling and analysis. WRECO will perfonn hydraulic analysis using the U.S.
ATIny Corps of Engineers' HEC-RAS computer program to analyze the flow characteristics at the
proposed bridge site. Flow characteristics for the design of the bridge include the water surface
elevations (depths) and flow velocities. This will be used to establish the minimum bridge soffit
elevation and depths of bridge foundations.

2.1í Bridge scour analysis. WRECO will perform a bridge scour analysis in accordance with
Federal Highway Adrrllnistration BEC-18 manual. The flow characteristics obtained from the BEC-
RAS program will be used in the bridge scour analysis. The analysis -will determine the required
depths for foundations and any need for scour protection measures.

11/06/00

MANNA CoNSULTANTS, INc

3
