Discussion of Commission Tour_9J Proposed State Co~lege Park Sit~' <br /> <br />Commissioner Weintraub mentioned that the tour was well attended and very <br />enj oyable. Mrs. Philllips graciously devoted her t~e to the tour and Com- <br />missioner Weintraub extended the Commission's appreciation to Mrs. Phillips. <br />The Commission discussed directing the review of the park site to the Open <br />Space Committee for their input. They requested the staff to make contact <br />with the State on the current status of the property. The park site impressed <br />the Commissioners as being an extremely large and beautiful area. Chairman <br />Guida requested staff to send a letter on behalf of the Commission to <br />Mrs. Phillips to thank her for the time and effort she expended. He also <br />requested staff to keep the Commission informed of any and all future develop- <br />ments. Commissioner Pound requested that the Open Space Committee keep <br />Mrs. Phillips informed of the meetings concerning this site. <br /> <br />Chairman Guida requested staff to send a letter on behalf of the Commission <br />inviting Mrs. Phillips to become a member of the Open Space Committee, <br />Mr. Weeks requested Commissioner Weintraub approach Mrs. Phillips and, if <br />she was interested, to contact the staff for confirmation. <br /> <br /> <br />REPORTS <br /> <br />Item 1 - ProK~a~ Committee Report <br /> <br />Commissioner Schenck briefly reiterated the material contained in the report <br />along with adding some suggestions for the new Chairperson, Commissioner Pound. <br /> <br />MOTION: Commissioner Schenck moved to accept the report as written, seconded <br />by Commissioner Pound.
