<br />- <br /> <br /> <br />66 <br /> <br />¡ <br /> <br />MINUTES <br /> <br />Mr. Weeks stated that he would be requesting the resurfacing of the old tennis courts <br />in that plans and specifications are immediately available as prepared for the Mezes <br />Courts. Additionally, consideration will be given to transfer any balance to Phase III <br />and thereby initiate design drawing for Rhase III. <br /> <br />The motion carried by unanimous voice vote. <br /> <br /> <br />MOTION: Commissioner Schenck moved to utilize funds available from Phase II <br />construction of Red Morton Community Park for the construction of <br />the covering of the bocci ball courts, seconded by Commissioner Rollins. <br /> <br />The bocci ball representatives responded by thanking the Commission for their <br />consideration. <br /> <br />A five minute recess was taken. <br /> <br />AGENDA ITEM 2 - Review Proposed ~arin~ Ordinance <br /> <br />Mr. Weeks indicated that staff and the Operational Policies Committee met sometime <br />ago with regard to the ordinance. Tom Ferrando referred to the copy of the sample' <br />ordinance which included amendments and additions. Mr. Ferrando explained the <br />reasons for drafting a new ordinance related to some operational problems dealing <br />with payment for berths (delinquent accounts) and the methods of handling same. <br />The existing ordinances contained very general language regarding this matter <br />which made it difficul t to take immediate action for delinquent accounts. The <br />intent of the new ordinance is to vest in the Commission the authority to pro- <br />mulgate future rules and regulations for the operation of the Marina and allow <br />for more comprehensive review. Mr. Ferrando briefly reviewed the draft of the <br />proposed ordinance with the Commission, and enforcernentof the rules was discussed. <br />It was pointed out that upon approval of the amended ordinance by the Council, <br />proposed rules and regulations will be prepared for public distribution. <br /> <br />The Commission requested that a meeting be set up to tour the Seqouia Yacht Club <br />facility in order to ascertain the possibilities of public use in cooperation <br />with the yacht club. Mr. Weeks indicated he contact the yacht club relative to <br />this request. <br /> <br />MOTION: Commissioner Rollins moved to accept the proposed ordinance with amend- <br />ments and additions as included in the packet, seconded by Commissioner <br />Knecht. The motion carried unanimously by voice vote. <br /> <br />REPORT ITEM 2 - Monthly R~e~rts <br /> <br />A. ~artmental Monthly R~rts <br /> <br />Mr. Weeks added that the Department is meeting with the Mobil Oil representatives <br />March 12 to discuss the details of the proposed restroom near the private beach at <br />Redwood Shores. <br /> <br /> <br />,', <br /> <br />,-'- <br /> <br /> <br />" <br /> <br />,', <br />.., <br />
