The <br />Action Committee indicated the suggestion was under study. <br /> <br />Commissioner Knecht commended the Committee for the work they have accom- <br />plished with regard to the park naming policy. <br /> <br /> <br />REPORT ITEM 3 - Program Committee <br /> <br />There was a brief discussion with regard to the City-School After-School <br />Program and the future of the program without the support of the School <br />District financing. Mr. Paulson indicated that there will be a restructur- <br />ing of the program and the emphasis would be on special interest activities, <br />many of which can be self-sustaining. These sugges- <br />tions will be forwarded to the Planning Commission: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />It was noted that within the housing area as outlined by Peninsula Park- <br />way, Shell Parkway, and Marine World Parkway extended, there is very <br />little provision for the five to seven acre size neighborhood park <br />facility.
