<br />WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS (continued) <br /> <br />Mayor Stangel invited Raymond Pflug or his representative to speak. <br />was no response. <br /> <br />There <br /> <br />In response to question, City Clerk Hildebrand described the written and <br />oral notices given to Mr. Pflug. <br /> <br />Director of Public Works Addiego referred to an overhead projection of the <br />Laurel Way neighborhood and described what he believed to be the concern <br />regarding traffic of Mr. Pflug and his neighbors. <br /> <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br /> <br />(See below, page 4) <br /> <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />John Murray, 568 Seahorse Lane, invited City Council members to attend a <br />meeting of the general membership of Redwood Shores Homeowners Association <br />(RSHA) at Marine World Park at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday~ January 12, 1983. <br />Mr. Murray suggested that the meeting could be one of those Council is <br />planning to hold in neighborhoods. <br /> <br />CONSENSUS: Mayor Stangel determined it to be the consensus of Council to <br />accept the invitation of RSHA and to be present for an informal meeting <br />with residents of Redwood Shores at Marine World Park on Wednesday <br />January 12, 1983. <br /> <br />It was suggested that Council may wish to adjourn the meeting scheduled <br />for January 3, 1983 to the January 12 RSHA meeting and cancel the meeting <br />set for January 10. (Memo 11/9/82) <br /> <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br /> <br />GENERAL <br />1. <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Britschgi noted that the Grand Opening of the Veterans Memorial <br />Senior Center is set for Friday, December 3, 1982 and suggested that a <br />Saturday morning might be a better time for the ceremonies as more people <br />might be able to attend. <br /> <br />City Manager Smith said he would bring the suggestion to the attention of <br />the Senior Citizens Advisory Committee. (Memo 11/9/82) <br /> <br />Mayor Stangel announced that a piano is needed for the Center or donations <br />toward the purchase of a piano. <br /> <br />Councilman Bury requested that staff investigate the cost and the possible <br />source of funding to repaint the auditorium at the Center.
