He mentioned there will be a provision for conduit to be installed as part of the project which will allow for lights to be installed in the future. -Youth and Teen Advisory Boards The Commissioners discussed the letter from Teen Advisory Board Member Eileen Parker and how the Commission could work with the youth and teen advisory boards more effectively. -B udget Director Centeno announced that Council will formally approve the budget at their August 11 meeting. She spoke about possible budget cuts of 10-20% during Fiscal Year 2004-2005. ITEM 6 - P & R COMMISSION PARK TOUR AND SOCIAL Chairperson Walsh reminded the Commissioners that Saturday, September 13 from 11 :30am-3 :OOpm was selected for the Commission Park Tour and lunch. A draft agenda for the tour was reviewed with the Commissioners. It was suggested that the City Council be invited to attend. . ITEM 7 - DISCUSSION OF PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION CALEN DAR -Brainstorming Session Chairperson Walsh discussed having a þrainstorming session on Saturday, November 1 from 9:00am-12noon. Staff will see if either Sandpiper or Fair Oaks Community Centers are available as a meeting location. -Health and Wellness Fair The Commission was invited to have a booth at the fair to be held at the Senior Center on September 13. The Commissioners declined the invitation becausè it is the same date as their Park Tour.
