<br />of the City for non-essential uses hereinafter in Section 5 set <br /> <br />forth. <br /> <br />Non-Essential Uses. <br /> <br />The following uses of water <br /> <br />SECTION 5. <br /> <br />are hereby determined and declared non-essential, except as <br /> <br />expressly to the contrary hereinafter provided: <br /> <br />(a) <br /> <br />The use of water in excess of any of the <br /> <br />Allotments. <br /> <br />(1) <br /> <br />following allotments: <br /> <br />(2 ) <br /> <br />(b) <br /> <br />Residential Usage - The use of water in an amount in <br />excess of 75 percent of the water furnished to each <br />residential premises during the corresponding billing <br />period of the base year, provided, that no such use <br />shall be required to be less than ten units in any <br />bi-monthly billing period or five units in any monthly <br />billing period for any such premises. <br /> <br />Industrial Usage - <br /> <br />[a] <br /> <br />The use of process water in an amount in excess <br />of 90 percent of such process water furnished to <br />each industrial premises during the corresponding <br />billing period of the base year; and <br /> <br />[b] <br /> <br />The use of water, except process water, in an <br />amount in excess of 75 percent of such non-process <br />water furnished to each industrial premises during <br />the corresponding billing period of the base year. <br /> <br />(3 ) <br /> <br />Commercial and Public Agency Usage - The use of water in <br />an amount in excess of 75 percent of the water furnished <br />to each commercial premises and each public agency <br />premises during the corresponding billing period of the <br />base year. <br /> <br />(4 ) <br /> <br />Outdoor Irrigation - Notwithstanding the provisions of <br />subsections (2) and (3), above, the use of water for <br />outdoor irrigation purposes in an amount in excess of <br />50 percent of that portion utilized at each non-residential <br />premises for such purposes during the corresponding <br />billing period of the base year. "Outdoor irrigation" <br />includes, but is not limited to, the use of water for <br />irrigating parks, common greens, median strips, <br />recreational areas, cemetaries, golf courses, and <br />similar or like purposes, but does not include the use <br />of process water in a commercial or industrial process <br />or operation. <br /> <br />Specific Uses Prohibited. <br /> <br />Any of the following methods, <br /> <br />types, or techniques of use, or activities or circumstances relating <br /> <br />to, or associated with, water use: <br /> <br />(1) <br /> <br />Defective Equipment - Use of water through, with, or <br />by any plumbing, sprinkler, watering or irrigation <br /> <br />-4- <br />
