<br />herein described, said environmental impact report being entitled <br /> <br />"Environmental Impact Report - Cordilleras Road Between Upland Road <br /> <br />and Canyon Road - Redwood City, San Mateo County, California." <br /> <br />This Council hereby further finds that changes or alterations have <br /> <br />been required in, or incorporated into, the proposed project which <br /> <br />mitigate or avoid the significant environmental effects thereof as <br /> <br />in that: <br /> <br />identified in the aforementioned final environmental impact report <br /> <br />(a) <br /> <br />(b) <br /> <br />(c) <br /> <br />(d) <br /> <br />(e) <br /> <br />(f) <br /> <br />(g) <br /> <br />Adverse environmental effects during construction including, <br />but not necessarily limited to, noise, dust, and drainage <br />effects, shall be mitigated by a construction mitigation <br />plan subject to the approval of the Director of Public <br />Works and Planning Director of the City of Redwood City; <br /> <br />The loss of open space inherent in the proposed project <br />shall be mitigated by controlled and maintained land- <br />scaping such that while there shall be a net loss of open <br />space, the remaining open space will be more attractive <br />than that prior to the completion of the project; <br /> <br />Sidewalks shall be constructed and installed in such <br />manner as to protect pedestrians from existing and future <br />traffic in the area of the project so as to mitigate the <br />effects of the slight increase in traffic perceived to <br />result from the project; <br /> <br />The project, in itself, may reduce noise on the lands <br />affected thereby by precluding the current indiscriminate <br />use thereof by persons owning recreational vehicles and <br />motorcycles, which current use creates an annoying and <br />unpleasant effect upon residents living in the vicinity <br />of the project area; <br /> <br />The effect of generation of sewage from the project area <br />is mitigated by the fact that such sewage shall be <br />included within that capacity allocated to the City, in <br />general, in the new sewage treatment plant proposed to <br />serve the City under the ownership and operation of the <br />South Bayside System Authority; <br /> <br />The financial impact resulting from the proposed project <br />shall be mitigated by construction of public improvements <br />in accordance with specifications reducing maintenance <br />of such improvements; and, <br /> <br />The foregoing factors in mitigation of, or which avoid, <br />significant environmental effects of the project together <br />with other measures relating thereto, are set forth in, <br />or required pursuant to, the planned development permit <br />pertaining to the project, which permit was approved by <br />Resolution No. 7603, entitled "Resolution Conditionally <br /> <br />-3- <br />
