<br />by the City with any public agency, district or political <br /> <br />subdivision of the State prior to the effective date of the <br /> <br />ordinance enacting this article. <br /> <br />"ARTICLE VI. <br /> <br />"SANITARY SEWERAGE SERVICE CONNECTIONS. <br /> <br />"Section 27.80. <br /> <br />Article Definitions. <br /> <br />For the purposes <br /> <br />of this article, and in addition to the definitions set forth <br /> <br />in Section 27.11, the following words and phrases shall have <br /> <br />the meanings respectively ascribed thereto: <br /> <br />" (a) <br /> <br />Building Inspector. <br /> <br />The Building Inspector of the <br /> <br />City, including his authorized deputies or representatives. <br /> <br />" (b) <br /> <br />çesspool. <br /> <br />An excavation in the ground which <br /> <br />receives waste from any sanitary plumbing facility. <br /> <br />"(c) <br /> <br />Health Officer. <br /> <br />The Health Officer of the City, <br /> <br />including his authorized deputies or representatives. <br /> <br />" (d) <br /> <br />House Connection Sewer. <br /> <br />That portion of the <br /> <br />horizontal sewer piping which extends from a building or <br /> <br />structure to the property line of the public right-of-way or <br /> <br />easement. <br /> <br />II (e) <br /> <br />Septic Tank. <br /> <br />A water-tight receptacle which receives <br /> <br />waste or wastewater, designed and constructed so as to retain <br /> <br />solids, digest organic matter through a period of detention, <br /> <br />and to discharge liquids into the soil outside of the tank <br /> <br />through a system of open joint piping. <br /> <br />"(f) <br /> <br />Sewer Laterals. <br /> <br />That portion of the horizontal <br /> <br />sewer piping wi thin the public right- of- 'Ñay which extends from <br /> <br />the sewerage facilities to the street property line or limit <br /> <br />of public right- of- way or easement. <br /> <br />" (g) <br /> <br />Sewer Service Area A. <br /> <br />All premises located within <br /> <br />the City, and not located within Sewer Service Area B. <br /> <br />" (h) <br /> <br />Sewer Service Area B. <br /> <br />All premises located within <br /> <br />-29- <br />
