?//- //

No changes to onsite driveways and circulation are proposed, and no expansions ofthe existing
buildings are proposed. SHC anticipates relatively minor site and/or exterior modifications:

1. Replacement of the storm water retention basin located in the existing paved surface parking
area with an underground stonn water retention basin constructed beneath the paved surface
parking area. The replacement basin would continue to adhere to the existing Planned
Development Pennit Condition prohibiting an increase in the rate and quantity of surface
water runoff: The surface parking lot above the retention basin would be restored, such that
no change in impervious surface or parking area would occur.

2. An upgrade of one of the two existing emergency generators. SHC anticipates that it may
need to replace one of the two existing emergency generators with a generator capable of
producing a greater emergency power supply. The replacement generator would be located
in the same place as the existing generator, and would be screened from view in the same
manner as the existing generator. Further, the expanded generator will be presented to the
City for review and approval.

3. Signage

a. Identification signs on the top spandrel panels of buildings 430 and 440 to be seen from
the freeway. A depiction of the general type of identification signs that SHC anticipates
is attached to this Project Description. Any such signs will comply with the Redwood
City Sign Ordinance, and will be presented to the City for sign program approval.

b. Monument signs at the 2 existing vehicular entry points, concrete, with bronze letters
applied, approximately 6' X 18" Xl' thick. Entrance-way monument signs will be
located in a manner that will ensure adequate sight distance for motorists. Any such
signs will comply with the Redwood City Sign Ordinance, and will be presented to the
City for sign program approval.

c. Building function identification signs at or near the two curb side drop-off points and
above the front doors Any such signs will comply with the Redwood City Sign
Ordinance, and will be presented to the City for sign program approval.

4. Minor additional landscaping. It is possible that SHC would install a small amount of
additional landscaping on the site. If any landscape trees are lost due to construction of
covered walkways, the underground retention basin, or any other site modification, the trees
will be replaced in the same location or elsewhere on the site. Changes to existing
landscaping will be presented to the City for architectural review and Planned Development
Pennit Amendment approval of a conceptual landscape plan.

5. Exterior security cameras. SHC likely will install exterior security cameras, which will be
placed in an unobtrusive manner.

6. Bridges between buildings

WC/30171463.1
