PUBLIC HEARING- <br /> <br /> A. Public Hearing on the Urban Water Management Plan Amendment; <br /> <br /> Superintendent Rosas introduced the report and Public Works Services Director <br /> Ingram stated that the top three priorities set by the Council were 1 ) to address the <br /> long term water supply assurance; 2) advocate that the Council influence the <br /> regional system by getting the system fixed; and 3) to pursue recycled water as a <br /> new water supply. He stated this item is yet another part of the activities that will <br /> bring the City closer to reaching those priority goals. Additionally, new State laws <br /> have been enacted that involve closing the gap between land use planning and <br /> water supply planning. Both SB 210 and SB 221 require local water agencies to <br /> perform assessments of supply when new development requires additional or new <br /> connections to water systems. This document presented is being amended to <br /> make sure it is in conformance with the most recent information on demand <br /> projections. <br /> <br /> Mayor Claire opened the public hearing. <br /> <br /> M/S Howard/Ruskin to close the public hearing.
