<br /> 6 <br />Project WeHOPE <br /> <br />Alicia Garcia, Associate Director of Project WeHOPE and Anita Blount, Director of Dignity on <br />Wheels Program, gave a presentation on the Dignity on Wheels Mobile Hygiene Program. <br />They provided an overview of the services they provide. She provided some statistics on the <br />number of people they have provided. <br /> <br />Vice Chair Recht asked for clarification as to what they mean in their application when they <br />say their “funding model is changing.” <br /> <br />Ms. Garcia provided clarification on this. <br /> <br />Vice Chair Recht asked what they will do if they do not receive funding. <br /> <br />Ms. Garcia explained the various grant writing work they do to receive funding. <br /> <br />There was a discussion regarding the program totals for how many people they serve. <br /> <br />Samaritan House <br /> <br />Jason Wong, Medical Director of Health Care Services at Samaritan House, gave a <br />presentation on the Samaritan House Free Clinic in Redwood City. He thanked the HHCC for <br />their support in the past. He explained the mission and vision of the clinic. <br /> <br />Vice Chair Recht asked if they are fully serving as many people as they can serve. <br /> <br />Mr. Wong stated that in terms of capacity, there is room for expansion in their building. He <br />stated that is more room for capacity and they are working on growing as much as they can. <br /> <br />Vice Chair Recht asked if they have to turn anyone away. <br /> <br />Mr. Wong stated they do not turn anyone away, but they do post their wait times. <br /> <br />Service League of San Mateo County <br /> <br />Morrigan Bruce, Program Operations Manager at Hope House gave a presentation on the <br />Hope House Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Residential Program for Women & Infants. She <br />stated they are working hard to make sure they are serving as many people as they possibly <br />can. She provided an overview of the services they provide. <br /> <br />Vice Chair Recht asked what their standard length of stay is. <br /> <br />Ms. Bruce stated that they offer a 3-month program with a potential for a 30-day extension. <br />She explained the situations under which an extension may be requested. <br /> <br />Vice Chair Recht asked what kind of follow-up they do for those that have gone through the <br />program. <br />
