Personal Recycling Tote-Bag Distribution. Upon receipt of a request for 620 <br />Recycling Tote-Bags from a Multi-Family Dwelling Customer or Occupant, 621 <br />Agency, or SBWMA, Contractor shall: (i) deliver the Recycling Tote-Bags within 622 <br />five (5) Business Days to the property Owner, property manager, or Occupant 623 <br />who requested the Recycling Tote-Bags; (ii) prior to complying with (i), contact 624 <br />the property Owner or property manager directly by phone or in person to 625 <br />determine if additional Recycling Tote-Bags are needed and/or if they are 626 <br />interested in a site assessment of the property; (iii) upon request for a site 627 <br />assessment, ensure that a site assessment is done per the requirements set 628 <br />forth in Section 7.05. Contractor shall provide notification to Agency and 629 <br />SBWMA of the Day which the Tote Bags were delivered and to whom they were 630 <br />delivered with submittal of Contractor’s monthly reports per Section 9.05. 631 <br />Contractor’s monthly reports shall also include an inventory of Recycling Tote-632 <br />Bags in stock. 633 <br />3. Household Battery and Cell Phone Collection 634 <br />a. Multi-Family Residential Complexes with individual Recycling Carts for 635 <br />each dwelling unit. Contractor shall Collect Household Batteries and 636 <br />Cell Phones placed on top of the Recyclable Materials Cart in 637 <br />Contractor-provided or Customer-provided clear zip-close or tie-close 638 <br />plastic bags clearly marked “Used Batteries and Cell Phones.” 639 <br />Customers will be notified to place all Household Batteries in a clear 640 <br />zip-close plastic bag; tape the contacts of button cell batteries; and 641 <br />wrap cell phones in paper (for protection) prior to placing in the plastic 642 <br />bag. While Customers will be encouraged to follow the participation 643 <br />parameters, Contractor shall be required to Collect the Household 644 <br />Batteries and Cell Phones if Customers do not follow these 645 <br />instructions. 646 <br />b. Multi-Family Residential Complexes with Individual, Shared, or 647 <br />Centrally-stored Recycling Carts or Bins. Contractor shall provide one 648 <br />(1) or more centrally located Containers for the accumulation of 649 <br />Household Batteries and Cell Phones. The number and location of 650 <br />the Containers and the frequency of Collection shall be mutually 651 <br />agreed to between the Contractor and the Owner or manager of the 652 <br />complex. In the event the Owner or property manager requests that 653 <br />the materials be Collected on an on-call basis, Contractor shall provide 654 <br />that service at no additional cost. 655 <br />4. Container Service Requirements. Container service requirements described for 656 <br />Multi-Family Solid Waste Collection in Sections 5.02.B.3 through 5.02.B.7 are 657 <br />applicable for Collection of Targeted Recyclable Materials from Multi-Family 658 <br />Premises. 659 <br />D. Commercial Premises 660 <br />1. General. Commercial Customers that subscribe to Solid Waste Collection service 661 <br />shall be entitled to Collection of Targeted Recyclable Materials at no additional 662 <br />charge, and Contractor shall provide the level of service required by Commercial 663 <br />6.2.B. - Page 31
