The on-board computer system shall: (i) capture all 2519 operations data needed to complete the Contractor’s reporting requirements for 2520 this Agreement; (ii) capture all operating data needed to prepare the Contractor’s 2521 Application; and (iii) allow Customer service staff direct real-time access to driver 2522 data including vehicle location, Container set-out and service data, and notes 2523 regarding service issues. 2524 8. All Collection vehicles shall be equipped with a broom, shovel, absorbent 2525 materials, and other approved cleanup devices and materials for emergencies, 2526 or any spillage or leaks that may occur. 2527 9. Route supervisors and management personnel shall use one-half (0.5) Ton 2528 hybrid pickup trucks while performing services. 2529 10. Contractor developed preliminary specifications for vehicles that will be 2530 purchased and placed into service after the Commencement Date. These 2531 specifications, which were the basis for Contractor’s vehicle depreciation and 2532 interest costs (presented in Attachment N), are presented in Attachment P. At 2533 least eighteen (18) months prior to Contractor’s initial acquisition of new 2534 Collection vehicles to be placed into service after January 1, 2021, Contractor 2535 shall meet and confer with the SBWMA to discuss the type of vehicles to be 2536 purchased and fuel options. The Agency and SBWMA may be interested in 2537 considering different fuel options with the goal of minimizing the air emission 2538 impact of the Collection vehicles. At the request of the Agency or SBWMA, 2539 Contractor shall provide vehicle information, specifications, and fuel options and 2540 a cost impact analysis of various fueling options. Contractor shall obtain the 2541 SBWMA’s approval in the fuel selection prior to ordering new Collection vehicles. 2542 SBWMA recognizes that Contractor’s vehicle purchase plan anticipates 2543 purchases over multiple years. This meet and confer obligation is intended to 2544 occur prior to Contractor’s initial purchase of new Collection vehicles to discuss 2545 a strategy for all vehicles purchased after January 1, 2021 unless Parties agree 2546 otherwise. 2547 C. Vehicle Identification. Contractor's name, local telephone number, and a unique 2548 vehicle identification number designated by Contractor for each vehicle shall be 2549 prominently displayed on all four (4) sides of the vehicles, in letters and numbers with 2550 a maximum five (5) digit sequence, that are no less than two and one-half (2.5) inches 2551 in height. Contractor shall not place any other information or logo on Contractor 2552 vehicles, unless approved in writing by SBWMA. Vehicles shall be clearly labeled to 2553 indicate the materials Collected by that vehicle, specifically; “Solid Waste,” 2554 “Recyclables,” or “Organic Materials,” as directed by SBWMA. 2555 D. Inventory. Contractor shall furnish the Agency and SBWMA a written inventory of 2556 all vehicles used in providing service, and shall update the inventory annually. The 2557 inventory shall list all vehicles by manufacturer, identification number, date of 2558 acquisition, type, capacity, decibel rating, average weight of load, and average loaded 2559 axle weights. 2560 E. Cleaning and Maintenance 2561 1. General. Contractor shall maintain all of its properties, vehicles, facilities, and 2562 equipment used in providing service under this Agreement in a good, safe, neat, 2563 clean, and operable condition at all times. 2564 6.2.B. - Page 75
