Commissioner Codding stated that
the area does not make a difference. The Downtown Precise Plan's heights and
densities should be pretty well known by September or October. We should wait
until the draft Downtown Precise Plan is complete and then the developer would
know the height for his project.

Commissioner Radcliff added that the Historic Resource Advisory Committee is
looking into the property at 724-736 Brewster as being the gateway to the historic
section of Redwood City.

Commissioner Cronin stated he is not in favor of expanding the size of the
Precise Plan and the Downtown Precise Plan should be included throughout the
process. Commissioner Seybert stated that you cannot put the entire City on
hold and that it would be bad Planning if we allowed development on this site
with the current zoning. If this were the final project he would struggle with the
height.

MIS (Seybert/Cronin) Recommendation to initiate a Precise Plan only including
the site at 439 Fuller Street.
Motion Passed 4-2 Chair Paulson, Commissioner Codding dissenting
