The General Plan EIR has been reviewed and an Addendum to the General Plan EIR
(EIR Addendum), has been prepared for the Mixed-Use Waterfront Zoning Ordinance
Amendment (Zoning Ordinance Amendment). The EIR Addendum demonstrates and finds that
the proposed Zoning Ordinance Amendment is subject to prior environmental review under
CEQA, that there are no new significant impacts nor any increase in the severity of previously
identified impacts, and that no change in circumstance has occurred with respect to the EIR and
the proposed Zoning Ordinance Amendment or the environment affected by the project that
would alter prior environmental findings, conclusions, or mitigation measures. See attached EIR
Addendum for further discussion.

Strada Development
The City prepared a Draft Environmental Impact Report (DEIR) for the 1548 Maple Street
project (Appendices) pursuant to all relevant sections of the CEQA. The EIR is intended to
inform City of Redwood City decision-makers, responsible agencies, and the general public of
the potential environmental impacts associated with the proposed project. The DEIR for the
project identified that the project would result in either no impact or less than significant impacts
in the areas of: aesthetics, greenhouse gas emissions, public services, agricultural and forestry
resources, geology and soils, population and housing, tribal cultural resources, recreation and
mineral resources.

The DEIR also identified that the project could have significant impacts in the areas of:
biological, cultural, transportation and circulation, air quality, noise, hazardous materials and
hydrology and water quality. Most of the impacts identified are short term impacts associated
with construction. All of the impacts can be mitigated to a less-than-significant level in
conformance with applicable standard measures and 33 project-level mitigation measures
identified in the DEIR (see attached DEIR). No significant and unavoidable or cumulative
impacts were identified.

7.A. - Page 17
