consistent with the original historic setting of the structure. The relocated water tank will not
include the first floor building that was added in the 1960’s.
The project applicant proposes to relocate the water tank and support structure from its current
location on the project site to a temporary location on nearby City-owned property. The tank will
ultimately be located on a publicly accessible and prominent location at the terminus of Maple
Street adjacent to the waterfront and future public park. This location was envisioned in the
Inner Harbor Specific Plan and provides a greater opportunity for the community to experience
the water tank structure. In accordance with the Development Agreement, the project applicant
will provide $100,000 to the City to fund the water tank restoration work.

LISA COSTA SANDERS
PRINCIPAL PLANNER

AARON AKNIN
ASSISTANT CITY MANAGER AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR

MELISSA STEVENSON DIAZ
CITY MANAGER

ATTACHMENTS:
1.
