was skeptical before I read them, but now I'm sold on the project.
+1 4. As long as the developers fooled thru with the public benefit and traffic mitigation promises. I'd
hate to see some grief coming to the jail, airport and the homeless shelter (Lifemoves) from future
tenants with more money or political pull who may not like them as neighbors.
4 great idea but worried about how congested the area already is
In opposition:
+8 1 - Seriuosly? 5,000 office workers at one of the most dysfunctional interchanges in Northern Cali. I
don't think so. Keep eye on Singer Assoc (the PR firm hired by Jay Paul for this project). They are also
funding Climate Magazine. I expect Climate to be endorsing Council candidates who look favorably
upon this project. Hopefully they'll prove me wrong.
+ 2. I'm not a NIMBYist, but to me the critical issue is the imbalance between jobs and housing in our
region. Cities want big commercial developments because they are profit centers for municipalities (i.e.
they generate more city taxes than they cost to serve with city services), and that's partially how we got
to where we are now. Given how big this proposed project is, we really need more housing, not offices.
The affordability crisis is just that - a crisis - and to address it we must rebalance our regional office to
housing ratio.
+s 1 -strongly opposed. Are we trying to fill every inch of space and add to an already impossible traffic
jam at Woodside/101? What about the quality of life for those of us already living here? Not to mention
the loss of wildlife habitat. Let common sense prevail, please. @
+5 2 Can Harbor View add housing?
+5 1 Redwood City is already overcrowded.
+s 1 Redwood City has already been successful in displacing thousands of residents through its
commercial centric land use decisions. How many more residents must lose their homes before
decision -makers recognize the consequences of those decisions?
+4 1. If we are going to add congestion to already congested Woodside Road we need to make sure
there is housing that is affordable to the teachers, food service employees and other blue collar workers.
+4 1They need to take the pause on building that the council members campaigned with
+4 1 we need a break from all of this building!
