VOTES AGAINST this project by Mayor Bain, Vice Mayor Howard and Councilwoman Borgens. With these
many negative impacts, WHY did ANY Council member vote to approve? For this, we are going to
potentially change the City of Redwood City's General Plan? RED FLAG!
+a 1.1 agree that we don't need more congestion at woodside and 101. There are other issues besides
traffic, too. Water? Schools? There are already so many huge projects here - we don't need more
development in Redwood City!!! I plan to vote for candidates who want quality of life rather than salivate
over bribes and $$ to city coffers.
+2 1. Oppose unless major mass transit projects and protected bike lanes + wide pedestrian sidewalks
are installed as a concession
+z 1 completely against, hard to see how it won't completely wreck Woodside Rd exit and interchange.
+2 I strongly oppose! #1
+2 1. Fill up all the rest of the empty business/retail first before more unaffordable rentals are built. We
have lost way to many businesses because of the high rental rates. No more building!I!
+z 1Stop expanding homes and office buildings in Redwood City! You've grown and expanded enough
as it is. The congestion in this part of town is already bad, adding more buildings and commuters will
just make it worse especially with Stanford expanding to this part of town.
+2 2 Yes, we need the tax base, but we also need housing!. How about mixed use -1/2 offices with 1/2 loft
housing?
+z 1 .. this project would be the coup de grace for the quality of life in Redwood City
+z 1 strongly oppose. There is already massive construction going on on EI Camino, in addition to
Facebook and Stanford. We should have plenty of profit from those thousands of employees. What we
neednis more housing so we can balance. It's already super expensive to live here and housing shortage
is one key factor.
+2 1. Totally opposed to this oversized monstrosity, which will overwhelm local roads and hwy 101. It's
the wrong project in the wrong place and should absolutely not be approved.
+2 1 Harbor View as currently envisioned and proposed is too auto -oriented (too much parking) and,
more importantly, since it adds thousands of jobs with ZERO additional housing, will greatly exacerbate
our local and regional jobs -housing imbalance... putting further upward pressure on our overheated
and unaffordable housing market, leading to higher rents and prices and more displacement and
housing insecurity among the approximately 50% of RWC residents who are renters.
