LSA ASSOCIATES, INC.
APRIL 2018
Table 1: Mitigation Monitoring and Reporting Program
Impact Mitigation Measures
H. HYDROLOGY AND WATIJR QUALITY _
HYD -1: If construction of the HYD -l: Implement Mitigation Measure HAZ-1
proposed project or the project
variant results in the reuse of
existing contaminated soil or
contaminated imported fill
materials for use as engineered
fill or for surcharging, impacts
to water quality could occur.
HYD -2: The retaining wall,
HYD -2: Proposed improvements within 100 -year flood
placement of fill material,
zones and coastal flooding hazard areas, and proposed
reconstruction of Maple Street,
improvements affecting stormwater drainage systems (e.g.,
or other improvements
the proposed retaining wall and placement of fill and/or
occurring within the current
other potential improvements) shall be analyzed using
100 -year flood zone along
detailed hydraulic evaluations to ensure that the
Redwood Creek could increase
improvements would not impede or redirect flood flows,
the depth and velocity of flood
contribute to exceeding the capacity of existing stormwater
flows along the existing banks,
drainage systems, or alter the hydrodynamics of stormwater
which could result in erosion
flows such that erosion could occur. The detailed hydraulic
and siltation during operation of
evaluations shall be performed and certified by a
the proposed project and the
professional engineer, and shall quantify the following
project variant,
information.
• The potential for improvements within 100 -year flood
zones, coastal flooding hazard areas, and drainage
courses to impede or redirect flood flows including
storm -related flooding and coastal flooding hazards
including tsunamis, sea level rise, and extreme high
tides.
• The potential for improvements to stormwater drainage
systems to exceed the capacity of existing off-site
stormwater drainage systems.
• The potential for improvements within 100 -year flood
zones, coastal flooding hazard areas, and drainage
courses to result in changes to the extent and depth of
flooding.
ATTY/RE50.0035/CC RESO CERTIFYING FINAL EIR-1548 MAPLE
REV: 04-30-18 PR
IS48 MAPLE STREET PROJECT
MITIGATION MONITORING AND REPORTING PROGRAM
Timeframe for
Responsibility for
Oversight of
Implementation
Implementation
Implementation
Prior to issuance
Project Applicant
Redwood City
of certificate of
Community
occupancy
Development
Director
Prior to issuance
Project Applicant
Redwood City
of grading permits
Community
Development
Director
RESO.
