1. Redwood City has built and is building so much housing already. Where is the water coming from? What about the traffic? It needs to stop at some point. The housing market will collapse and we will have ruined our city on the mean time. 1 Would support if they put appt at rents between 1200 and 2400 dollars for our low wage workers 1. The reason I oppose it is because city council has not planned well for growth in the past. That is evident by the apparent lack of duffivie 2 We need more affordable housing and supporting infrastructure for all new developments 1 -No, too many apt buildings. I don't even recognize downtown RWC anymore. The traffic & parking are already horrendous. My water bill is already through the roof. I'm very fearful what will happen with all the new population. Water is a finite resource. As it is, my family, friends & I avoid downtown RWC at all costs. It's a nightmare! 2. Redwood City is more than crowded. Its overbuilt with ugly 8 story block size & expensive behemoths. Our city is now horribly Congested (exactly what envionmentalists predicted, prior to this building boom) Traffic is a nightmare & our quality of life here has diminished. Blocking off & narrowing streets for "traffic calming" makes maters worse. The token amount of low income housing being included is pitifully inadequate. It wont achieve a meaningful impact on the housung imbalance we have. There should be a set formula of at least 25% low income included for all new construction. Additional low income units should be required in all multi unit Building remodels to replace the ones lost.. 1. Does anyone else notice what is happening downtown? Perhaps a tap on the brakes is called for. Neutral/don't know: +3 3 approve if affordable housing is increased to at least 33%, and an additional 33% of units affordable to mid -tier affordable -for -non -tech -professionals. We already have substantial luxury level housing for those families making more than $200K annually, and we are in dire need of more housing for working and middle class families. +2 3 - I'm not sure why this is useful poll question. I'm suspicious why an organization based in Irving CA has submitted a letter about a project in Redwood City. 3 I'd like to knowwhat the environmental issues are. Without that info, 1 can't agree or disagree knowledgeably.
