<br />The City's maximum reimbursement amounts are shown below for all <br />approved improvements: <br /> <br />Owner/Tenant <br />Costs <br /> <br />Maximum Reimbursement <br />Assuminq 50% of Costs <br /> <br />5,000 <br /> <br />2,500 <br /> <br />IV. ELIGIBLE TYPES OF IMPROVEMENTS AND REIMBURSABLE EXPENSES <br /> <br />Eligible improvements may include: storefront renovation, signs, doors, <br />windows, awnings, graphics, exterior lighting improvements I landscaping, <br />and other improvements which the Housing and Redevelopment Division <br />determines is important to incorporate as an integral part of the total <br />storefront improvement design. Professional, legal, architectural and <br />City permit fees may be i nc 1 uded in the tot a 1 storefront improvement <br />costs. All improvements must conform with the Uniform Building Codes and <br />the Design Guidelines established for the program. <br /> <br />For this program, "storefront" is defined as follows: <br /> <br />The entire exterior front surface of a building which <br />abuts the street from grade to the eave or facia line. <br />Improvements above the storefront level, including roof <br />repairs and roof replacement, are only eligible when <br />performed in conjunction with storefront improvements. <br />When a building abuts two streets and/or an alley, empty <br />lot, parking area, or open space, such building may have <br />other faces considered storefronts if the Housing and <br />Redevelopment Division and Planning Division determines <br />that they are visible from the main commercial street. <br />Decorative fencing and landscaping of adjacent parking <br />lots will also be considered on an individual basis. <br /> <br />V. REOUEST FOR REIMBURSEMENT <br /> <br />Reimbursement wi 11 be provi ded for improvements started and completed <br />after the City's authorization to proceed and will be made after <br />improvements are completed in accordance with the approved plans. Receipt <br />of the reimbursement is conditioned upon completion of the improvements <br />and when all permits have been final led. The reimbursement will be issued <br />after an inspection by Housing and Redevelopment Division and other <br />appropriate staff and upon submission of complete documentation of project <br />costs, including: <br /> <br />1. Storefront Improvement Reimbursement Request Form; <br /> <br />2. Invoices and/or contracts; <br /> <br />3.
