<br />4. Signed statement from the City affirming that the <br />completed improvement is in substantial compliance with <br />the original approved design; <br /> <br />5. A copy of the approved final building inspection; <br /> <br />6. Waivers of all contractor's liens; and, <br /> <br />7. A color photograph of the building after <br />completion of the storefront improvements. <br /> <br />VI. DESIGN ASSISTANCE <br /> <br />In order to assist property owners and merchants with the design of <br />improvements, the Planning Division of the Community Development <br />Department will make design recommendations available to program <br />applicants in accordance with Urban Design Guidelines as approved by the <br />Planning Commission and the City Council. <br /> <br />Step 1: <br /> <br />STOREFRONT IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM <br />PRE-APPLICATION <br /> <br />Initial contact is made with potential recipient of grant. <br />Th is step wi 11 be conducted by Hous i ng and Redevelopment <br />Division staff. The initial contact should determine whether <br />the project is located withi n the target area and if the <br />proposed activities are within the Design Guidel ines. The <br />Storefront Improvement Program Guidelines will be reviewed and <br />a copy of both the Design and Program Guidelines, including <br />an application form, will be provided to the potential <br />applicant. <br /> <br />Step 2: <br /> <br />ARCHITECTURAL PERMIT APPLICATIONS <br /> <br />The following information must be submitted to the Planning <br />Division: <br /> <br />a) A completed application form with a $75 non- <br />refundable fee (for exterior remodel of building) <br />made out to the City of Redwood City. <br /> <br />b) I f the app 1 i cant is not the property owner, <br />documentation proving that the individual has the <br />authori zat i on of the property owner to perform <br />the storefront renovation work (as agent) must be <br />attached with the application form. <br /> <br />c) Six sets of plans showing a scaled elevation of <br />the facade (1/4" scale) and detailing all existing <br />(E) and new (N) roofing siding, trim, signage, <br />awning and general landscaping materials, as <br /> <br />'11272 <br />
