304 <br />305 <br />306 5.01 GENERAL <br />ARTICLE 5 <br />COLLECTION SERVICES <br />307 <br />A. <br />The work to be performed and services to be provided by Contractor include the <br />308 <br />furnishing of all labor, supervision, equipment, materials, supplies, and all other <br />309 <br />items necessary to perform the work and provide the services described, at the <br />310 <br />times and in the manner required by this Agreement. The enumeration of, and <br />311 <br />specification of requirements for, particular items of labor, supervision, equipment, <br />312 <br />materials, or supplies shall not relieve Contractor of the duty to furnish all others, as <br />313 <br />may be required, whether enumerated elsewhere in the Agreement or not. <br />314 <br />B. <br />Contractor shall perform the work and provide the services pursuant to this <br />315 <br />Agreement in a thorough and professional manner so that the residents and <br />316 <br />businesses within the Agency are provided reliable, courteous, and high-quality <br />317 <br />service at all times. The enumeration of, and specification of requirements for, <br />318 <br />particular aspects of service quality shall not relieve Contractor of the duty of <br />319 <br />accomplishing all other aspects in the manner provided in this Article, whether such <br />320 <br />other aspects are enumerated elsewhere in the Agreement or not. <br />321 <br />C. <br />Contractor acknowledges that the Agency is committed to diverting materials from <br />322 <br />Disposal through the implementation of source reduction, donation, reuse, <br />323 <br />Recycling, and composting programs and that the Agency may, at some time in the <br />324 <br />future, implement, in accordance with Section 15.12, new programs that may impact <br />325 <br />the overall quantity or composition of Solid Waste, Targeted Recyclable Materials, <br />326 <br />and/or Organic Materials to be Collected by Contractor. <br />327 <br />5.02 SOLID <br />WASTE COLLECTION <br />328 <br />A. <br />Single -Family Dwelling (SFD) <br />329 <br />1. General. Contractor shall Collect Solid Waste from SFD once per week from <br />330 <br />Contractor -provided Carts, and Agency shall bill Customers for the service at <br />331 <br />Agency -approved Rates. Contractor shall provide extra Collection pick-ups of <br />332 <br />Containers within one (1) Business Day of Customer's request, and Contractor <br />333 <br />shall bill Customer at Agency -approved Charges specified in Attachment Q. <br />334 <br />2. Collection Location. Contractor shall Collect Carts Curbside unless: (i) the <br />335 <br />Occupant is provided a Special Handling Service exemption; or, (ii) the <br />336 <br />Customer has requested Backyard Collection Service and has agreed to pay <br />337 <br />for Backyard Collection Service at the Agency -approved Charge. Agency shall <br />338 <br />bill Customers with Backyard Collection Service at Agency -approved Charges <br />339 <br />specified in Attachment Q. For Customers with Special Handling Service and <br />340 <br />Backyard Collection Service, Contractor shall Collect Carts from and return <br />341 <br />Carts to the alternative service location (such as the side yard or backyard) <br />342 <br />specified by the Customer. Contractor shall make reasonable accommodations <br />343 <br />with regard to provision and servicing of Containers (e.g., Container size and <br />344 <br />type, placement of Containers for Collection, etc.) at no additional cost to <br />345 <br />Customers who meet the Agency's Special Handling Service criteria. <br />REV: 03-16-18 MI <br />Page 11 of 126 <br />ATTY/AGR.2018.054/Recology of San Mateo <br />
