576 <br />2. Collection Location. For SFD Recyclable Materials Cart Collection, Contractor <br />577 <br />shall comply with the same Collection provisions specified for Solid Waste Cart <br />578 <br />Collection pursuant to Sections 5.02.A.2, 5.02.A.3, and 5.02.A.4. <br />579 <br />3. Used Motor Oil and Used Motor Oil Filters. Contractor shall Collect Used <br />580 <br />Motor Oil and Used Motor Oil Filters placed at the Collection location by <br />581 <br />Customer for Collection in Contractor -provided or Contractor -approved <br />582 <br />Containers. Contractor shall not be required to Collect more than five (5) <br />583 <br />gallons of Used Motor Oil per Customer per Collection. Contractor shall <br />584 <br />provide up to five (5) one -gallon translucent plastic Used Oil jugs with screw - <br />585 <br />on tops for Used Motor Oil Collection and up to five (5) six (6) mil plastic zip - <br />586 <br />close type bags for Used Motor Oil Filter Collection to SFD Customers, upon <br />587 <br />Customer's request, within five (5) Business Days of such request, at no <br />588 <br />additional cost to Customer. Information in English and Spanish, regarding the <br />589 <br />Used Motor Oil and Used Motor Oil Filter Collection program and instructions <br />590 <br />for the use and set out of these materials shall be provided with the Used <br />591 <br />Motor Oil jugs and Used Motor Oil Filter bags. Diversion of Used Motor Oil <br />592 <br />shall be calculated with a conversion factor of one (1) gallon of Used Motor Oil <br />593 <br />equaling seven (7) pounds. <br />594 4. Household Batteries and Cell Phones. Contractor shall Collect from SFD <br />595 Premises Household Batteries and Cell Phones placed on top of the <br />596 Recyclable Materials Cart in Contractor -provided or Customer -provided clear <br />597 zip -close or tie -close plastic bags clearly marked `Used Batteries and Cell <br />598 Phones." Contractor shall empty the bag at the point of Collection and leave it <br />599 to be reused by the Customer by placing it inside the Cart handle. Customers <br />600 will be notified to place all Household Batteries in a clear zip -close plastic bag; <br />601 tape the contacts of button cell batteries; and wrap Cell Phones in paper (for <br />602 protection) prior to placing in the plastic bag. While Customers will be <br />603 encouraged to follow the participation parameters, Contractor shall be required <br />604 to Collect if Customers do not follow these instructions. <br />605 5. Collection Day. Contractor shall Collect Targeted Recyclable Materials, Used <br />606 Motor Oil, Used Motor Oil Filters, Household Batteries, and Cell Phones from <br />607 SFD on the same day that Solid Waste Collection is provided. <br />608 C. Multi -Family Residential Premises <br />609 1. General. Multi -Family Dwelling Customers that subscribe to Solid Waste <br />610 Collection service shall be entitled to Single -Stream Targeted Recyclable <br />611 Materials Collection at no additional charge, and Contractor shall provide the <br />612 level of service required by Multi -Family Dwelling Customers requesting <br />613 Recyclable Materials Collection services. Contractor shall provide each Multi - <br />614 Family Dwelling Customer with Containers for Single -Stream Targeted <br />615 Recyclable Materials Collection. At a minimum, Contractor shall provide twenty <br />616 (20) gallons per week of Container capacity for Single -Stream Targeted <br />617 Recyclable Materials Collection for every Multi -Family Dwelling at the <br />618 Premises. Contractor shall provide each Customer with Carts or Bins as <br />619 specified in Attachment D, as requested by the Customer. <br />620 Contractor shall Collect Single -Stream Targeted Recyclable Materials <br />621 Generated at Multi -Family Residential Complexes at least once per week or <br />622 more frequently, up to six (6) times per week, as scheduled by the Customer <br />REV: 03-16-18 MI <br />Page 17 of 126 <br />ATTY/AGR.2018.054/Recology of San Mateo <br />
