Maximum Contamination Levels <br />Material Category Maximum Contamination <br />Level (% by weight) <br />Commercial Source Separated or Targeted 10% <br />Recyclable Materials <br />MFD and Commercial Plant Materials 5% <br />Single -Family Organic Materials <br />Commercial Organic Materials <br />5% <br />10% <br />1335 If two (2) or more loads from the same route are brought to Shoreway Recycling <br />1336 and Disposal Center in a given month with Contamination Levels greater than those <br />1337 specified in Table 1, Contractor shall visually inspect materials at the point of <br />1338 Collection on that route to identify the source of the Contamination. If the source <br />1339 can be identified, Contractor shall follow up with the Customer(s) that need further <br />1340 assistance to reduce Contamination and to resolve the Contamination issue. At any <br />1341 time, the SBWMA may request for the sampling of a load of materials. <br />1342 C. Insoectina for Excessive Contamination in Sinale Loads <br />1343 The Operator will inspect loads of materials delivered to Shoreway Recycling and <br />1344 Disposal Center. The Operator may set aside for sampling a load of material that <br />1345 appears to exceed the Contamination Levels in Table 1. <br />1346 When setting aside a load for sampling, the Operator will document the truck <br />1347 number, the date and time of delivery, and will take a photograph of the load. The <br />1348 methodology for sampling of single loads is set forth in Attachment E. <br />1349 If an entire load is sorted to determine Contamination, as contemplated by <br />1350 subsections D and E below, then Contractor or its representative shall have the <br />1351 right to be present at, observe, and photograph and video all aspects of the sort. <br />1352 D. SuD`pjemental Processing Fee for Excessive Contamination in Salvageable <br />1353 Sinale Loads <br />1354 If a load of materials is determined based on (1) sorting of the entire load, or (2) <br />1355 sample testing pursuant to Section 6.02.0 to contain Contamination in excess of the <br />1356 levels specified in Table 1, but is determined by the SBWMA to be salvageable, <br />1357 Contractor shall be required to pay SBWMA a supplemental processing fee of <br />1358 $25.00 per Ton for the load. <br />1359 The supplemental processing fees shall be adjusted annually by the Annual Index <br />1360 Change in CPI -U in the same manner described in Attachment K. <br />1361 E. Pavment of Transfer. Transportation, and Disposal of Unsalvaaeable Sinale <br />1362 Loads <br />1363 If a load of materials is determined based on (1) sorting of the entire load, or (2) <br />1364 sample testing pursuant to Section 6.02.0 to contain Contamination in excess of <br />1365 the levels specified in Table 1, and is determined by SBWMA to be <br />1366 unsalvageable, Contractor shall reimburse SBWMA for the cost of transfer, <br />1367 transportation, and Disposal of the load, which shall be calculated as the weight <br />REV: 03-16-18 MI <br />Page 35 of 126 <br />ATTY/AGR.2018.054/Recology of San Mateo <br />
