2294 <br />B. Route Schedules. Routes over which Contractor's vehicles travel to affect the <br />2295 <br />Collection and transport of Solid Waste, Targeted Recyclable Materials, and <br />2296 <br />Organic Materials shall be selected to minimize damage to Agency and private <br />2297 <br />streets, and minimize inconvenience and disturbance to the public. The route <br />2298 <br />schedules and routing maps shall be subject to the approval of Agency prior to <br />2299 <br />Commencement of services. Contractor shall use due care to obey all traffic laws <br />2300 <br />and prevent materials being transported from being spilled or scattered during <br />2301 <br />transport. <br />2302 <br />Contractor shall be prepared to review its operations plan outlining the Collection <br />2303 <br />routes, intervals of Collection and Collection times for all materials Collected under <br />2304 <br />this Agreement with the Agency or its representatives at least annually. More <br />2305 <br />frequent reviews may be required if operations are not satisfactory based on <br />2306 <br />documented observations or reports or Complaints. If the plan is determined to <br />2307 <br />inadequately address the unsatisfactory performance as documented by <br />2308 <br />observations and Complaints, the Agency may direct Contractor to revise the plan <br />2309 <br />incorporating any changes into a revised plan and review said revised plan with the <br />2310 <br />Agency within thirty (30) Days of the initial meeting with the Agency. <br />2311 C. Contingency Plan. Contractor shall submit to Agency ninety (90) Days prior to <br />2312 Commencement Date, a written contingency plan demonstrating Contractor's <br />2313 arrangements to provide vehicles and personnel and to maintain uninterrupted <br />2314 service during breakdowns, and in case of natural disaster or other emergency, <br />2315 including the events described in Section 14.09. <br />2316 8.02 COLLECTION STANDARDS <br />2317 A. Reserved <br />2318 B. Servicing Containers and Missed Pick -Ups <br />2319 1. General. Contractor shall Collect the contents and return each Container to the <br />2320 location where the Occupant properly placed the Container for Collection. <br />2321 Contractor shall place the Containers upright with lids properly closed and <br />2322 secured. <br />2323 Contractor shall use due care when handling Containers. Contractor shall not <br />2324 throw, roughly handle, damage, or break Containers. <br />2325 <br />Upon Customer request, Contractor shall provide special services including: <br />2326 <br />unlocking and locking Containers; accessing locked Container enclosures (e.g., <br />2327 <br />with a key or combination lock); providing Container Relocation Service; and, <br />2328 <br />providing Long Distance Service. Contractor shall provide these services upon <br />2329 <br />request from Customer and Agency shall bill Customer at Agency -approved <br />2330 <br />Charges specified in Attachment Q. Section 5.02 provides additional <br />2331 <br />information on general Container service requirements, Long Distance Service, <br />2332 <br />and Container Relocation Service. <br />2333 <br />2. Missed Pick -Ups. When notified of a missed pick-up, Contractor shall Collect <br />2334 <br />the Solid Waste, Targeted Recyclable Materials, or Organic Materials on the <br />2335 <br />day the notice is received, if possible, and in all cases shall Collect the missed <br />2336 <br />pick-up by 6:00 p.m. of the next Business Day following receipt of the missed <br />2337 <br />pick-up notification. <br />REV: 03-16-15 MI <br />Page 57 of 126 <br />ATTY/AGR.2018.054/Recology of San Mateo <br />
