Mateo County Child Care Partnership Council needs specific support from the City’s
Child Care Coordinator for developing needs assessments, strategic planning, and
assisting with various other activities of the Council.

ALTERNATIVES
The City Council could choose to not contract with the San Mateo County
Superintendent of Schools in support of the Child Care Coordinator position.

FISCAL IMPACT
Increasing the Child Care Coordinator position by 0.3 FTE, from 0.5 FTE to 0.8 FTE, will
be offset by the contract with the San Mateo County Superintendent of Schools in the
amount of $53,368. This amount will paid to the City to cover increased wages, benefits
and expenses such as travel, conferences, and supplies.

ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW
This activity is not a project under CEQA as defined in CEQA Guidelines, section
15378, because it has no potential for resulting in either a direct or foreseeable physical
change in the environment.

CHRISTOPHER BETH
PARKS, RECREATION AND COMMUNITY SERVICES DIRECTOR

KIMBRA MCCARTHY
ASSISTANT CITY MANAGER/ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES DIRECTOR

ATTACHMENT:
1.
