He said that there is a very high interest on behalf <br /> of the SBSA Commission in completing the plan because of the positive aspects <br /> of this plan on the community and the relationship with the Redwood Shores <br /> community. <br /> <br /> He said the plan creates a significant positive public buffer with SBSA and the <br /> community. He said that the completion of the wetland restoration, the removal <br /> of the access current road and the implementation of the tree screen are very <br /> high on the SBSA agenda. SBSA really wants this plan to be approved, and to <br /> go forward with these improvements. <br /> <br /> He said that the removal of the access road and getting permission to do it is tied <br /> to completion of the whole restoration plan involving a lot of agencies. He said <br /> that SBSA does require a new access read to be built if the current access road <br /> is removed. <br /> <br /> Public hearing open <br /> <br /> Pat Dixon, Redwood Shores resident, said she did not find any discussion on the <br /> impacts of carbon monoxide on the wildlife. She doesn't want to see private <br /> streets as alternative parking facilities for the church. She is concerned about <br /> where the tanks are going to be built. She said that traffic is a major issue. She <br /> said a big concern is where everyone is going to park. <br /> <br />Don Warren, representing South Bay System Authority and Jim Bewley speaking <br />on both the EIR and the Specific Plan. He said that SBSA comments on the EIR <br />are contained in a letter, which was submitted to staff in late December. He said <br />that SBSA supports and recommends staff recommendation to the Planning <br />Commission including the changes to the linkage. <br /> <br />He said that SBSA would stand behind their commitment to provide secondary <br />backup parking for FACC, in the event that the proposed agreement does not <br />work with the Point Office Park. He said that there are appreximately 180 spaces <br />on the SBSA plant that can be made available to the church. SBSA thanked <br />everyone involved in the process. <br /> <br />Ryan Mikolasik, Representing Gossamer Cove Homeownere Association. He <br />opposes the whole project and disputes the findings in the EIR. He says the <br />project is an unfair burden to the homeowners by increasing traffic and the <br />parking solutions are only temporary. He is opposed to the project because the <br />current levees around the project are closed to the residents. He is concerned <br />that the wildlife will be impacted. He is opposed of the way the project is been <br />addressed. <br /> <br />Rich Hegeman, President Gossamer Hollow Association. He said that the issues <br />of traffic and parking are adequate addressed in the EIR and is he <br />recommending that the EIR be certified. He is recommending the approval of the <br />Specific Plan to the City Council. <br /> <br /> <br />
