Hardware/Equipment <br />Major components of the proposed System include but are not limited to, ticket dispensers (entry <br />lanes), ticket accepters (exit lanes), control -gate barriers, vehicle -detection ground loops, pay -on - <br />foot machines, customer -fee displays, intercoms, proximity -card readers, voice prompts to guide <br />the customers, cashier terminals, computer interfaces, monitors, IP Intercoms, CCN, validation <br />equipment and printers. <br />Pay Stations and stand-alone rate -display screens must update automatically when rates are <br />updated. <br />Pay Station and cashier station printers must have detailed receipt -printing capability (to show <br />multiple rate periods, charge for each rate period, taxes, discounts, etc,). <br />Printers utilized within the equipment shall be thermal printers. <br />1, Outdoor Equioment/Enclosure General Requirements <br />The removal, disposal or salvage of existing equipment must be incorporated into the overall <br />cost proposal. <br />Outdoor components shall operate within the environmental conditions described below: <br />Component <br />Temperature <br />Relative Humidity <br />Precipitation <br />Noise Exposure <br />Shock and Vibration <br />Sand, Dust, and Contaminants <br />Possible Hazards <br />Condition <br />-13 degrees F to 113 degrees F <br />10 to 90 percent <br />Blowing rain, 3.5 inches per hour <br />130 dB <br />Seismic Zone 3 <br />Intermittent industrial area exposures <br />Vandalism, power disturbances <br />Outdoor equipment housings shall be designed to function under different and typical <br />environmental conditions, including partially enclosed environments exposed to dust and <br />precipitation. <br />Equipment housing units will be thermostatically controlled to control internal operating <br />temperatures for optimal performance. <br />Equipment must provide sufficient openings to allow easy access to all components and meet <br />with all requirements of The National Electric Code (NEC). <br />Equipment housings are to be free of sharp edges, corners, or points capable of causing injury <br />to maintenance personnel or public and have an organized internal wiring system with wiring <br />harnesses and or proper terminal termination strips so as not to sustain damage when <br />equipment is operating. <br />Where possible, equipment shall be designed not to allow for fasteners or hardware that could <br />REV: 09-10-15 VR <br />Page 17 of 61 <br />ATTYIAGR.2015.217/Scheidt & Bachmann USA, Inc.
