Carmel Historical Study and Residential Design Review <br />Thank you for the notice about this July 23, 2018 meeting. We own property within the boundary <br />but will not be able to attend. I wanted to offer some comments about the proposal. <br />Our house is on Duane Street, in what is R-5 zoning. Even though we have a lot just shy of <br />10,000SF the most that could be built on the land is 2 units. On either side of us, on lots that look to <br />be identical to ours, are 16 unit apartment buildings. This first block of Duane has been <br />predominantly rental for a long time, probably since the 60's. I would encourage the Commission to <br />consider this in their review of the area. <br />Michael Church <br />
