Member Expectations <br />A. Each Public Allies AmeriCorps Member has entered into a `Member Contract" that clearly <br />outlines the expectations, code of conduct and graduation requirements for each Member. <br />As direct supervisors ofthe PublicAllies Ar riCorps Members, it is essential that you read, <br />understand and uphold those policies. Should you have any questions, please contact Holly <br />Lim at HollyL@PubficAllies.Org. <br />B. During the term of service, Members are expected to provide capacity building services to your <br />organization. As a general rule, capacity building activities are indirect services that enable <br />organizations to provide more effective direct services Intended results of capacity building <br />include the support or enhancement of a program delivery model, increasing, expanding or <br />enhancing services, and enabling the organization to provide a sustained level of more or <br />better direct services after your term of service has ended. In general, capacity building <br />activities am not intended to support the administration or operations of the organization, or <br />activities that increase capacity during the Member's term of service, but are not sustained <br />when the Member leaves. <br />C. In addition, the Member is expected, at all times while acting in an official capacity as an <br />AmeriCorps and Public Allies Member, to: <br />i. Demonstrate respect towards others. <br />ii. Follow directions. <br />iii. Direct concerns, problems, and suggestions to his/her Public Allies Program Manager or <br />appropriate staff member. <br />iv. Not engage in any activity that is illegal under local, state, or federal law. <br />V. Not engage in activities that pose a significant safety risk to others. <br />4. Identification as an AmeriCorps Member <br />The Public Allies Apprenticeship is an AmeriCorps program and the National Service Member placed <br />at your organization is a resource being provided by an AmeriCorps grant. As such, your <br />organization is a beneficiary of the resources provided by the Corporation for National and <br />Community Service. <br />The Partner Organization Supervisor must ensure that Members identify themselves as Public Allies <br />AmeriCorps members during public speaking opportunities. Member business cards should identify <br />the individual as a `Public AlliesAmeriCorps Apprentice." <br />5.
