Amend Phase 2 — Preliminary Site Planninq and Identification of Tvpes of Improvements <br />Task 2.1 — Goals and Obiectives <br />Per direction from City Council and the Planning Commission, provide a vision statement for the effort and <br />define what a "Downtown Park" in Redwood City should be. <br />Deliverables: <br />1. Downtown Parks Vision Statement <br />2. Goals and Objectives for Downtown Parks and Connectivity <br />Design Principles <br />a. These will be derived from the Evaluation Criteria established in Phase I <br />4. Precedent Studies that are directly applicable to parks and facilities that will help inform the design <br />of Sites 2, 3 & 6 <br />a. Brief write-ups or slide sequences on precedent facilities, potentially including: <br />i. River District Parks (Portland) <br />ii. Tanner Springs Park (Portland) <br />iii. Bryant Park (NYC) <br />iv. Place Dauphine (Paris) <br />v. Paley Park (NYC) <br />vi. Love Park (Philadelphia) <br />vii. Emerald Necklace (Boston) <br />viii. Guadalupe Parkway (San Jose) <br />Task 2.2 — Parks Framework Plan <br />Prepare a graphic representation for the build -out of Downtown Parks over time. All existing parks (City - <br />owned, County -owned and other), all sites included in this study and all properties included in Site 7 should <br />be included in this graphic. <br />Deliverables: <br />Parks Framework Plan — Physical/mapped version of City's plans for Downtown Parks <br />a. Existing Facilities (City, County and others in Site 7) <br />b. Sites 2, 3 & 6 — as a component of this project <br />c. Other Sites included in Phase I of this project as potential future park sites (Sites 1, 4 & 5) <br />i. Should include a few things about Site 1 as a park or Site 1 partially developed as <br />a park <br />Task 2.3 — Downtown Park Improvements (Sites 2 & 3) <br />Provide site-specific recommendations on the types of improvements for the proposed parks and public <br />spaces. Using general bubble diagrams, site improvement analysis should include opportunities and <br />constraints for construction of parks at each location.
