5 The street I live on has turned into a pop-up used cars for sale lot. Three days before needing <br />to move your car is reasonable. If the ordinances are not enforced then why do they exist in <br />the first place? <br />5 just drive along Jefferson near Valota to find 3 abandoned cars.., been there for years <br />5 parking should be enforced for everyone regardless of resident income or status. <br />5100% behind that. They don't enforce the one-hour parking across from McKinley School. <br />5 - it creates a conflict of interest. What happens if people learn their lesson and stop parking <br />illegally? will there be fewer tickets issued? or more overzealous ticketing officers trying to hit <br />a quota? Better to do random sweeps periodically. <br />5 Support, but with the caveat that exemptions should be allowed for low-income residents <br />who have more cars per household. I live in an over -parked neighborhood and before I had <br />my own carport space, I would frequently have to park between one block and about a <br />quarter mile from my home. I always passed spots that were occupied by garbage/recycling <br />bins, cars parked right in the middle of what could have been two spots, and countless pickup <br />trucks, trailers, and old cars that haven't moved as long as I've lived here. Parking in this <br />neighborhood outside of 10am-3pm on weekdays is a nightmare. That being said, if we're <br />going to have people patrolling the neighborhood, we should also consider dedicating some <br />of that money to picking up trash, code enforcement for trees that cover sidewalks in rotting <br />fruit, and fixing those ridiculous dips that scrape up the fronts of cars going the speed limit <br />across intersections. <br />S. The parking on my street has gotten worse and worse over <br />the years with many people illegally parking in front of fire hydrants, in red zones and even <br />blocking driveways for residents to enter and exit from. And when it is reported to the <br />Redwood City police, absolutely nothing is done. <br />
