2- Definitely we need more enforcement of parking violations especially in downtown. But it <br />is true the lower income neighborhoods are often targeted more than the more affluent <br />neighborhoods. I would rather have a crack down first on texting and driving violations. There <br />is plenty of revenue for RWC just enforcing that. All cops need to do is hang out at traffic <br />lights. <br />1. Instead of handing out tickets how about providing more parking? All these multistory <br />buildings going up should be required to provide affordable public parking as part of the <br />deal! <br />2.1 remember living in San Francisco, unable to park in front of my own apartment, forced to <br />walk half an hour to move my car every day. What happens if not? <br />2) There should already be a fair amount of parking enforcement by RWC if cars are parked <br />illegally on red curbs or in front of fire hydrants. I'm retired and several years ago a legal sticker on my car stated that my car <br />would be towed if not moved within 72.1 have a health condition and there are times that I <br />am not able to move my car for a few days at a time. However people can be very <br />inconsiderate on the way they park their cars here especially when parked in the first or last <br />position on a stretch of curb. The car in the first position won't drive close to the front edge of <br />the curb and will take a space and a half and the last car takes a space and a half by not <br />backing up close to end of curb. I'm not talking about merely a foot of space. It's when they <br />take a space and a half of car space in the first or last position. There's no rhyme or reason for <br />it.
