<br />6. Coordinate surveying and mapping to be performed by our subcontractor, Bohley <br />Consulting: <br /> <br />Conduct a ground control survey. Horizontal control will be referenced to NAD <br />1983, and vertical control will be referenced to NGVD 1929 + 100 feet. <br /> <br />Conduct aerial photography of the Sky Way, Bay Front, and Seaport Project <br />Areas. <br /> <br />Produce planimetric/topographic mapping for the Bid Package 4 and 5 pipeline <br />alignments. Topographic mapping will have a horizontal accuracy of 1.0 feet and a <br />vertical accuracy of 0.25 feet. <br /> <br />Conduct supplemental surveying with a horizontal accuracy of 0.5 feet and a <br />vertical accuracy of 0.25 feet. <br /> <br />7. Refine design criteria for locating recycled water distribution system appurtenances <br />such as line valves, blow-offs, combination air valves, fill stations, hydrants, and <br />potable water standby connections, etc. for use in the final design of the project. <br /> <br />8. Develop plan sheets for the pipelines, showing existing utilities and the proposed <br />alignments. Hand drawn sketches of alignment alternatives may also be periodically <br />submitted for City review. Traffic patterns and bus route information provided by City <br />will be considered when developing alignments. <br /> <br />9. Review the permit requirements for the City of San Carlos, Caltrans, and the Union <br />Pacific Railroad, and participate in one meeting with each organization. <br /> <br />10. Prepare a preliminary design level opinion of probable construction costs. <br /> <br />11. Prepare and submit 5 copies of the Preliminary Design Submittal that includes: <br />Design Criteria <br /> <br />Pipeline Alignment Analysis <br />Summary of Utilities Investigation <br /> <br />Summary of Permit Investigation <br />Summary of Geotechnical Design Criteria <br /> <br />Summary of Potentially Contaminated Sites <br />Engineer's Opinion of Probable Construction Costs <br /> <br />12. Participate in a Preliminary Design Review Meeting with City staff. <br />Task 3 - 90 Percent Design <br /> <br />Consultant shall provide the following work which constitutes a 90% level of design <br />development: <br /> <br />7 <br /> <br />sllibrary/agreemenls/consultants/consultanl_kennedYJenks_Exhibil A_BP 4 & 5 <br />
